These pages start with George Richison, Sr., born in Ireland in approximately 1773, and his partially-proven and partially-hypothetical family. His partially-proven family consists of John R. with a clear statement in John R.’s family Bible that he is the son of George and Ellen Richison. The rest of the children are the partially-hypothetical part of the family.
The partially-hypothetical portion of this family began to take shape when the marriages of five of the children named were discovered in Clark County, Ohio, within a span of 11 years -- suggesting that they were siblings. Eleanor married in 1814, George in 1819, John in 1821, Jane in 1822, and Eppy in 1825. Andrew married in 1816, but in Champaign County, Ohio -- right next door to Clark County.
Since putting them together as a family, more and more evidence has been found to support the family theory. This site offers those findings and suppositions now for others to dispute. Any and all additional facts, arguments, or data is welcome and even other possibilities. Please contact (richison@me.com) if you find anything you think is in error or if you are interested in finding out the sources for any of the data presented.
