- [S262] Probate of the Estate of William Richeson, 1865/66, A3199, (Clark County Probate Court, Clark Co., Ohio.).
Probate Packet A3199
Wm Richeson, deceased
Wm K. Jordan, Administrator
William Richeson apparently died in Dec 1864 as Moses E. Long presented a bill for $38.15 for "1 Coffin Box and Services" in Dec 1864.
A bill dated August 1863 indicated William "Richerson" was married and had children--both sons and daughters--still at home as she was buying shoes and boots for them.
On 24 May 1866, taxes were paid to the Treasurer's Office of Clarke Co. on 161 acres of land in the amount of $31.70. All the land was in Range 10, Twp. 3.
There are many notes to various people, all signed by Wm Richeson. One note is signed by both Wm Richeson and J.B. Carmin so wonder if there is some family connection.
Another note dated 18 Aug 1863 for $4.24 is jointly signed by Will Richeson and John Richeson. John's signature is quite labored--more so than William's.
The most interesting document is an order paying Amanda Richeson Bright $98.64 on 31 Jan 1866 as the illegitmate child of Wm Richeson and Sarah Fuller. Sarah Fuller was Amanda's mother and she and Wm were never married.
